Day 1: Kuching - Meludam
Undertake a land transfer of about an hour and a half to Pendam where we continue the journey to Meludam for about an hour’s trip by speedboat. Check in at a local hotel and have lunch. In the afternoon, using local transportation, we go in search for wildlife in the area.There should be plentiful of macaques, monitor lizards and proboscis monkeys to see. Call in at a local longhouse; on the way back to the hotel, the fireflies lighting up some of the trees give the place a surreal festive feeling. Dinner with a local family. (L,D)
Day 2: Meludam - Kuching
In the early morning, take a boat ride to the mouth of the Meludam River in search of more wildlife. Return to Meludam for breakfast. At this fishing village, the daily activities of drying shrimps, krill and fish can be readily observed. An hour’s speedboat ride to Pusa; along the way, it is common to see local otters. Retrace your journey back to Kuching or continue on to Batang Ai or Sibu through the town of Pusa. (L,D)

Day 1: Kuching - Nanga Sumpa Longhouse
Depart by air-conditioned van for Batang Ai reservoir (4½ hours). Journey through rural Sarawak, passing pepper gardens, cocoa and rubber plantation. En-route, a few stops will be made. Visit the colorful native market in Serian town where a variety of jungle produce such as edible ferns, bamboo shoots and unusual tropical fruit are on display. Visit a pepper garden and stop by to view wild orchids and several species of pitcher plants. Lunch en route. Upon arrival at the Batang Ai reservoir, proceed by longboat (1-2 hours) upriver to Nanga Sumpa. Settle in at Borneo Adventure’s jungle lodge. After dinner proceed to the longhouse across the river. Relax on the ruai (common verandah) and spend time with the Iban people. Interact with the community; learn about their culture and enjoy some local rice wine. Overnight lodge. (L,D)
Day 2: Nanga Sumpa
Following breakfast, hike the jungle trails along the river. Our destination is the scenic Enseluai Waterfall. Time to relax, swim, explore the rainforest and have lunch or try fishing Iban-style. Return to the lodge. Dinner is served in the lodge with local delicacies to enhance the meal. After dinner, visit to the longhouse. Woven blankets and handicrafts are available for display upon request and may be purchased directly from the longhouse people. (B,L,D)
Day 3: Nanga Sumpa Longhouse - Kuching
Following breakfast, depart down river by longboat, then overland. Lunch en route. Proceed to Kuching. Check in at hotel or transfer to the airport for departure. (B,L)

Day 1: Kuching - Ulu Ai
Depart by air-conditioned van for Batang Ai reservoir (about 4-5 hours). Journey through rural Sarawak, passing pepper gardens, cocoa and rubber plantation. En route, a few stops will be made. Visit the colorful native market in Serian town where a variety of jungle produce such as edible ferns, bamboo shoots and unusual tropical fruit are on display. Visit a pepper garden and stop by to view wild orchids and several species of pitcher plants. Lunch en route. Upon arrival at the Batang Ai reservoir, proceed by longboat (1 hr) across the lake then into the Ai River. Very soon you will be shooting up rapids (1 hr) as the river narrows under overhanging trees. Upon arrival settle into the Borneo Adventure lodge. After dinner walk over to the longhouse, share the evening with the Iban people. Berandau (dialogue) on the ruai (covered verandah). Back to the lodge for overnight. (L,D)
Day 2: Batang Ai National Park - TIbu Longhouse
After an early breakfast, walk over to Park Headquarters to pick up your National Park Ranger, then follow one of the trails that leads deeper into the National Park. Walk through old secondary & mixed dipterocarp forest, crossing a few creeks along the way. You will have time to relax in the pristine waters. After a packed lunch, experience first-hand, boating and fishing with the local people. Later in the afternoon return to Borneo Adventure lodge for dinner. Spend a quiet evening at the lodge or pay another visit to your Iban hosts at Tibu longhouse. (B,L,D)
Day 3: Departure
Following breakfast, depart down river by longboat, then overland. Lunch en route. Proceed to Kuching. Check in at hotel or transfer to the airport for departure. (B,L)

Day 1: Kuching - Penrissen Highland
The Penrissen Highland is only an hour’s drive from Kuching. Journey into the heartland of the Bidayuh community, passing through pepper gardens, cocoa and rubber plantations. Upon arrival, hike up the mountain in search for orchid and pitcher plants and other exotic tropical plants. Packed lunch will be served en route. Late afternoon, arrive at the entrance of Yang Tuba Cave. Set up the camp after which time for relaxing or swimming at the nearby waterfall. Dinner and overnight at the jungle camp. (L, D)
Day 2: Penrissen Highland– Anah Rais – Kuching
Following breakfast, hike to Anah Rais longhouse, the largest intact Bidayuh longhouse in Sarawak. Macaques and hornbills are occasionally seen along these areas. Arrive at Anah Rais longhouse by about mid afternoon. After lunch, a visit around the longhouse before returning to Kuching by late afternoon. (B, L)
